STANDARD ANALYSIS

Performed in the laboratory, the standard analysis of water and chemicals used in the processes include the measurement of PH, conductivity, oxide and coating thickness. Various other chemical analyses are carried out and the total, dissolved and suspended solids in process waters are also identified.

Furthermore, daily checks are carried out on the condensate of the sprayed solution analysing its quantity, the result of the analysis, the pH and the amount of salt present in the solution.
In addition to these daily checks, various types of analysis of water and chemicals used in the processes are carried out.

INSTRUMENTAL ANALYSIS

TABER TEST
Using state-of-the-art equipment, the Taber test simulates the wear and tear of hard sulphuric anodising. Sample parts, which go through the same process as the production parts, are placed on a rotary platform that simulates a rub-wear action.

 

SALT SPRAY CHAMBER
A climatic chamber maintains the environment at a controlled temperature and humidity and simulates a brackish saline environment. The parts treated are sprayed with a solution of salt and water for a period of time in order to maximise the corrosion process
